Israeli Military Tanks Enter Rafah for First Time

A CNN analysis has revealed that munitions made in the United States were used in a deadly Israeli strike on a displacement camp in Rafah on Sunday. Israeli military tanks were seen in central Rafah on Tuesday for the first time since the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) entered Gaza's southern territory.

Eyewitness Accounts

Rafah resident Alaa Abu Ibrahim told CNN that Israeli tanks were seen at the Al Awda roundabout in the center of the city. According to UNRWA, roughly 50,000 people have fled Rafah in the past 48 hours.

The Israeli strike on the displacement camp in Rafah killed at least 45 people and injured over 200. The camp was sheltering civilians who had fled their homes due to the ongoing conflict.
